Moon Festival 2024: Lanterns Illuminating Dreams

During the Mid-Autumn Festival of 2024, TCM, in collaboration with Central Youth Union, Central Youth Union Council, and the Center for Child Protection and Development in Vietnam, will organize the “Long den thap sang uoc mo” program with the theme “Trung Thu cung ban vui den truong” in Dak Lak province. The event is honored to welcome leaders of the Party, State, and esteemed guests, promising a meaningful and warm Mid-Autumn Festival for children.

The program is not only a festive celebration with vibrant lanterns and delicious mooncakes but also a profound sharing journey aimed at children in challenging circumstances, especially those affected by Typhoon Yagi. Meaningful gifts such as school supplies, new clothes, and essential food items will be personally delivered to each child to encourage and uplift their spirits during this difficult time.

The event will also include fun activities, cultural performances, and traditional games, creating a colorful and joyful Mid-Autumn atmosphere. Children will have the chance to participate in traditional games, enjoy impressive cultural performances, and light up lanterns together, symbolizing unity and dreams.

This event is not only an opportunity to strengthen community bonds but also a clear expression of solidarity and deep care for children facing life’s challenges. “Lồng đèn thắp sáng ước mơ” brings joy during the Mid-Autumn Festival and reflects the commitment of the entire society to support and uplift these children, helping them overcome obstacles and look forward to a brighter future.

  • Supporting Children Affected by Natural Disasters: Offer practical and material support to children in areas impacted by Typhoon Yagi, including gifts such as lanterns, mooncakes, school supplies, and other essentials.

  • Cultural Activities: Present engaging performances such as lion dances, Mid-Autumn Festival songs and dances, and traditional games, providing a lively and vibrant festival atmosphere for the children to immerse themselves in traditional celebrations.
  • Connecting the Dots: Organize both online and offline activities to call for contributions from the community for the affected areas and children. This aims to raise awareness and encourage support from organizations and individuals.
  • Mid-Autumn 2024 Gift Distribution Video Clip: Release a video clip capturing meaningful moments of gift-giving to children, spreading the message and imagery of the event while showcasing the community’s care and sharing.
  • Gift Distribution: Distribute Mid-Autumn gifts to 1,500 children, including lanterns, mooncakes, school supplies, and other essentials, to bring joy and provide practical support, especially to those in difficult circumstances and affected by natural disasters.
